The Fortisen Legal Difference

I’m proud to do things a little differently at Fortisen Legal.

I handle all my cases personally.

I genuinely believe in quality over quantity. I prefer to keep my family law caseload low, which allows me to take a hands-on approach with my clients.

You won’t be handed off to another lawyer at any stage throughout your Fortisen Legal journey.

I don’t believe in fixed pricing.

Every client deserves a strategy tailored to their unique circumstances, goals, and budget. Your strategy shouldn’t be fixed, and neither should your pricing. Each client’s situation is different … so why should you pay what everyone else is paying?

Not only will I deliver a quote based on your needs, but I will keep you updated throughout the process.

I am committed to educating my clients.

Navigating separation and divorce can be overwhelming, emotional, and confusing … and you don’t know what you don’t know.

This is why I created my own four-step process to educate my clients so you can take an active role in the process and make fully informed choices about your future. Visit my services page to learn more about this process.

I am a litigator with experience in many facets of the law.

Having spent 19 years working as a respected litigator across the areas of commercial law, criminal law, domestic violence law and family law, I know how to deal with difficult disputes that often end in court (aka litigation).

My clients benefit from my family law knowledge as well as my experience as a litigator.

I believe in efficiency and in finding effective solutions.

I truly believe in efficiency when it comes to the law, exploring solutions, and achieving an outcome quickly. I really don’t want this difficult chapter of your life to drag on any longer than you do, and together we will create a personalised strategy based around your resources and goals.

I am empathetic and considered.

My clients tell me I am compassionate and empathetic, which I think stems from my commitment to really listening and getting to know you, asking challenging questions, exploring risks, and working with you to understand your needs, motivations, and goals.

I believe in the importance of fact checking, and that the devil is in the detail.

Investing the time to seek out and double check all the facts and details of my client’s situation up-front allows me to deliver precise, timely advice, and manage communication with third parties with confidence and efficiency.

This commitment to maintaining accurate, professional records also helps me to create a clear, cost-effective strategy.

I understand family law and domestic violence law.

After 19 years as a litigator, I possess an intimate understanding of the relationship between family law and domestic violence law, and how the two areas of the law can impact and influence each other when it comes to being able to reach a resolution and move on with your life.

It’s natural to feel scared, anxious, and overwhelmed about what’s ahead. You don’t have to navigate this distressing journey alone. With 19 years’ legal experience across many areas of the law, I can help you find calm in the chaos.
